Goals for 2019

Happy 2019!

Goal: Since the birth of my son last summer, my self care has fallen to the wayside. As much as I would like to blame outside factors, I can’t. My husband is super supportive and encourages me to have my time, I’ve just been lazy. So, on this first day of 2019, I am going to attempt to turn myself around. My goal is to use this space to hold myself accountable for my health and wellness.

Nutrition Goal: I weigh 155 lbs, but at 5’6, I’m more comfortable around 135. However, the mom version of myself has convinced me to try to throw numbers out the window and to aim for more of a lifestyle change then a diet. My nutrition goal is to eat a clean diet and concentrate on feeling good and not worry about the numbers.

Water Consumption: 8 to 10 8 oz waters a day.

Fitness Goals: I did yoga, took walks, and lifted weights all throughout my pregnancy. However, post pregnancy, I’m in the worst shape of my life. My goal is to do 5 light workouts a week. I”m starting slow with a coach to 5k training, which will take up three workouts. The other two workouts are a half hour of yoga to build full body strength and regain movement and flexibility. Unfortunately, there is litle time in my schedule to exercise if I want to spend time with my son, so I will be getting up at 5am Monday – Friday to workout.

Mental Goals: I’ve been very lazy and watching way too much tv. So, my goal is to read a book a week. Im starting with silence of the lambs for no reason other than I’ve always wanted to read it. My other goal is to record my progress on this blog every weekday on my way to work on the train.
